We have added several capabilities to the Texas A&M WebGIS Geocoding Engine and have upgraded the API's to reflect these changes. The new API version is 2.91. All API users should begin upgrading their scripts and client applications. Please note the new URLs for the geocoding services on the API page.
The biggest change in this version is that we have added all US Census Bureau 2008 and USPS Tiger/ZIP+4 reference files. These may be selected to be used as reference data layers from the API's and the web interfaces.
In addition, we have added several new output metadata fields that report detailed information about the reference feature selected and used for interpolating the final geocode output. These fields are listed on the Geocoding API page.
A new version of the Geocoder Desktop Client is available for this version of the API as well.
