We have made changes to the output content and format of the Geocoding, Address Parsing, and Census Variable Intersection Services.
To accommodate these changes, the Texas A&M WebGIS Service API's have all been upgraded to version 2.94. The geocoding, address parsing, and census intersection API URL's have been updated and are listed on the geocoding API page, address parsing API page, and the census intersection API page.
All users should begin migrating their web services calls to use these new versions. A new desktop geocoding client is also available on the download page.
The most significant changes to the Texas A&M WebGIS Geocoding, Address Parsing, and Census Intersection API's are the following:
- Additional output fields have been added to the geocoding and address parsing services including the pre-type, pre-article, and post-article of an address.
- The reference feature geometry (GML) is now reported as output when using the geocoding service. The SRID of the geometry has also been added as an output field.
- The address parsing service allows selection of a desired output address format including USPS Publication 28 style, US Census TIGER/Line style, and the style used by Los Angeles County CIO.
